We are looking to hear from experienced business development professionals who can demonstrate strategic capability in addition to excellent commercial delivery. A genuine relationship-builder, able to present sophisticated solutions on a relationship-led basis, the successful candidate will have experience in managing relationship-driven sales cycles.
This is a senior sales role focused on developing strong client relationships to generate and accelerate revenue growth by driving significant growth and satisfaction from existing clients, as well as identifying new opportunities to achieve broader growth, extending beyond Scotland to increase the commercial footprint across the wider region.
Key Accountabilities will include:
1. Create, in partnership with the Director of Business Development & Commercial, execute, and evaluate a client-focused growth plan.
2. Play a key role in delivering the organisation's organic and strategic growth plans by significantly increasing revenue and satisfaction from the existing portfolio.
3. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the business, products (new and existing), and client markets through liaising with stakeholders, extensive market research, and competitor analysis.
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and key clients to promote services and products, adopting a consultative selling approach by understanding client needs thoroughly.
5. Meet regularly with key clients to conduct personalized service review meetings and act as the main point of contact for relationship management.
6. Support and collaborate with the Director of Business Development & Commercial to secure business outside Scotland from key/blue-chip clients and cross-sell new products to existing clients.
7. Work with marketing and communication teams to deploy resources such as seminars, events, and digital content, enhancing the company's profile and client engagement across regions.
8. Monitor feedback and relay customer experience needs to influence business responses and new product development to maximize opportunities.
9. Engage with CRM processes, updating information, collating data, and producing reports to track opportunities and insights for growth.
10. Propose solutions to streamline business processes and improve client satisfaction.
11. Support and deputize for the Director of Business Development & Commercial at key meetings as required.
