Legal Secretary (Chemistry Team)
£45,000 to £50,000 + benefits | London | Hybrid working (3/2)
My client, a leading IP Law Firm, is seeking a talented Legal Secretary to join their Chemistry team. This is a superb opportunity for an experienced secretary looking to build their career within a highly respected firm known for its collaborative culture and first class training.
The Chemistry team is open to considering strong secretarial candidates from both patents and non-patents backgrounds, provided you can demonstrate excellent organisational skills, high attention to detail, and the confidence to support busy fee earners with varied workloads.
Key responsibilities include:
• Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to fee earners
• Managing diaries, preparing documentation, and handling correspondence
• Assisting with billing, file management, and database updates
• Liaising with internal teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of work
• Supporting with ad hoc tasks and team administration
The ideal candidate:
• Strong background as a Legal Secretary, ideally within patents or another technical discipline
• Exceptional organisational skills and strong written communication
• Proactive, calm under pressure, and confident managing competing deadlines
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team
