We are seeking an experienced, ad‑hoc Translator to support European business development activities. This role requires someone who can confidently translate technical and commercial content related to cranes, heavy lifting, and construction into French, Spanish, German, and Polish.
About the Role
You will work closely with senior team members to ensure presentations, case studies, proposals, and marketing materials are accurately adapted for European audiences while maintaining technical integrity and a consistent communication style.
Responsibilities
* Provide on‑demand translation of presentations, case studies, capability statements, proposals, and other business development materials.
* Translate between English and French, Spanish, German, and Polish with a high level of accuracy.
* Correctly interpret and apply technical terminology related to cranes, heavy lifting, engineering, and construction.
* Adapt tone and messaging for local audiences while preserving commercial intent.
* Review and proofread translated materials for clarity, consistency, and cultural relevance.
* Collaborate with team members to refine messaging and ensure alignment across all languages.
* Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive commercial information professionally.
Qualifications
* Fluency (written and spoken) in English, French, Spanish, German, and Polish.
* Proven experience translating technical or engineering content—ideally within the crane, heavy‑lift, or construction sectors.
* Strong understanding of industry terminology (e.g., tower cranes, heavy‑lift methodology, project logistics).
* Ability to work flexibly and respond quickly to ad‑hoc translation needs.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
* Familiarity with business development materials such as PowerPoint presentations, case studies, and capability statements.
