About the role
The role of the Associate Retail Marketing Manager, plays a key role in planning, executing, and maximizing our presence at industry trade shows and events. This individual should have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously for all brands.
This Associate Retail Marketing Manager, will also facilitate the Retail Marketing activations of the SOTL brands (Sport Outdoor Travel & Lifestyle), to bring our brand visibility & experience to life in key channels whilst enabling the customization across key retailer partners, ensuring on time and best in class delivery.
The role will also assist the other Associate Marketing Manager and Marketing Specialists for specific activations in the key markets (DE, AT, DE, AT, UK, NO, DK, SE, and IT). The role will also lead the marketing activations on some other markets (MEA, East Europe or punctual activations on distributors).
What you’ll do in the role
TRADE SHOWS LEAD
1. Lead the tradeshows production for all brands at Helen of Troy in particular for Osprey & Hydro for UK, NO, DK, SE, and IT
2. Coordinate all aspects of trade show participation, from pre-event planning to post-event follow-up.
3. Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of booth setup, product displays, and promotional materials.
4. Manage logistics, including shipping, booth design, and on-site coordination.
5. Develop and manage budgets for each trade show and retail activation, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
6. Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
7. Implement lead capture strategies during trade shows to maximize engagement and collect relevant prospect information.
8. Cultivate and maintain relationships with event organizers, vendors, key distributors, and industry partners.
9. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align trade show and retail activation activities with overall business objectives.
RETAIL MARKETING ACTIVATIONS
10. Supporting the team members of SOTL teams to plan and execute retail activations in specific regions, focusing on key distributors in DE, AT, UK, NO, DK, SE, and IT
11. Planning and execution of seasonal retailer marketing campaigns for the Hydro Flask and Osprey brands, within commercial Sports & Outdoor, Travel and Lifestyle channels outside key distributors.
12. Participating into the internal POS items creation process, including: creation of codes, approval of POS items via online portal, ordering samples, raising purchase requisitions for materials and managing the supply chain deliverables.
13. Oversee the creation of POS with the external POS retail coordinator
14. Overviewing the budget dedicated to all activities vs forecast
What will help you do the job well
Essential:
15. 5+ years previous experience in a marketing role
16. Experience in Retail marketing, ideally in tradeshows organisation
17. Fluent in English (spoken and written), French a plus.
