The Account Manager will be responsible for developing sales and distribution of Nyetimber’s wines and the Lakes Distillery’s spirits in London’s Fine Dining Restaurants. You will have strong business relationships and contacts with key London restaurants, the major wine wholesalers and the sommelier community. You will have a strong track record of working with premium brands in this channel and activating them through trade marketing activations such as dinners and tastings.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Using established contacts at a senior level within the London fine dining restaurant to help grow the Nyetimber Group’s presence in this sector.
* Manage existing customers and win new business.
* The creation and ownership of the strategy to grow this important sector.
* Create/utilise tools, insights and contacts to meet strategic aims and objectives.
* To provide regular monthly updates and sales reports.
* Frequent contact with the sommelier community, and key wholesaler personnel.
* Regular tastings, training, incentives, education of staff and a personal presence at customer events is required.
* Management of the relationship between the buyer and Nyetimber/The Lakes for all accounts within this channel.
* Management of day to day running of the accounts, including liaising with marketing to provide customer marketing and keeping on top of sales tracking and reporting.
* Implementation of key seasonal platforms/programs.
* Undertaking such other duties commensurate with the responsibilities of the role and any other reasonable management request.
* Act as a Brand Ambassador for both Nyetimber and The Lakes, externally representing the brand.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
* Previous experience with existing key contacts and prospects within this channel.
* Sales experience within the premium drinks industry particularly in the wine and spirits trade.
* Ability to build strong relationships.
* Ability to work autonomously and highly self-motivated.
* Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Commercial and luxury brand focus.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
* Excellent levels of literacy and numeracy.
* Luxury brand-building experience.
* Account management background.
* Wine or sommelier related qualification.
