Role: Senior Residential Care Worker
Service: 2-bed Children's Residential Home
Age Range: 8-17 years
Needs: EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties)
Salary: £14.90 per hour + £45 per sleep-in
Hours: 160 hours per month
Qualification: Level 3 Children & Young People's Workforce
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Residential Care Worker to support children and young people within a nurturing and therapeutic home environment.
You will play a key role in leading shifts, supporting staff, and delivering high-quality care that promotes positive outcomes for young people.
Key Responsibilities
Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the home
Provide safe, nurturing, and therapeutic care to young people
Support children with EBD to manage behaviours and build resilience
Act as a positive role model and build meaningful relationships
Contribute to care planning, reviews, and safeguarding practices
Work collaboratively with professionals, families, and the wider team
Ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations & safeguarding standards
(Aligned with core duties such as leading shifts, safeguarding, and supporting development as outlined in the job description )
Requirements
Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People's Workforce (essential)
Experience working in children's residential care
Experience supporting young people with EBD
Ability to lead shifts and support junior staff
Strong safeguarding knowledge
