Assembly Engineer
Location: Poole
Salary: £14.00 £16.50 per hour
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
A precision engineering company in Poole is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembly Engineer to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in sub-assembly of machined components to aerospace standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assemble mechanical components to exacting aerospace requirements
* Perform tasks such as:
o Staking bearings
o Installing Heli-Coils
o Valve assembly
o Beading using aerospace-grade sealants (e.g., PR1770)
* Self-inspect and test completed assemblies
* Interpret 2D engineering drawings and follow assembly instructions and techniques accurately
Requirements:
* Proven experience in mechanical assembly, ideally within an aerospace or precision engineering environment
* Ability to read and work from technical drawings and specifications
* Experience with pressure testing is advantageous but not essential
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
