We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Cashier to join our busy finance team. This role is responsible for managing the day-to‑day financial transactions of the firms client and office accounts, ensuring strict compliance with the Council for Licenced Conveyancers (CLC) Accounts Rules. You will be an integral part of our finance department, providing essential support to fee earners and senior management.

Salary – dependent on experience and/or hours
Key Responsibilities
* Processing all financial transactions, including payments, receipts, and bank transfers.
* Performing daily and monthly bank reconciliations for both client and office accounts.
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date ledgers.
* Assisting with the billing and invoicing process.
* Handling petty cash and staff expenses.
* Supporting the month-end and year-end close procedures.
* Liaising with external auditors, banks, and suppliers.
* Advising colleagues on compliance with CLC Accounts Rules.
* Proven experience as a Legal Cashier or Accounts Assistant within a law firm.
* A strong understanding of the CLC Accounts Rules is essential.
* Excellent numerical skills and high level of accuracy.
* Proficiency with legal accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
