Randstad CP is seeking an experienced Technical Service Manager for a leading Facilities Management company on-site in Irvine.
The role is crucial to the success and growth of the business/services and reports to the Contract Manager. The candidate will maintain up-to-date professional and technical competence to achieve objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise the site team in accordance with company procedures and policies.
2. Ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of the site's M&E plant and equipment, building fabric, site infrastructure, external works, grounds, transport, and waste services.
3. Plan and control changes.
4. Research new technologies and methods for efficiency.
5. Support a robust out-of-hours call-out system for all contract service lines.
6. Ensure reactive repairs to M&E systems, fabric, and infrastructure are completed correctly and per contract requirements.
7. Provide technical support to team supervisors for prioritizing and delegating reactive and preventative maintenance tasks.
8. Ensure preventative maintenance is performed according to schedules and industry best practices.
9. Advise the Account Manager on staffing and absence coverage.
10. Procure and manage subcontractors, including inductions and minor works.
11. Monitor staff performance to meet and exceed client expectations.
12. Manage budgets, finances, and invoicing.
13. Assist in producing Contract Review Packs.
14. Audit quality documentation for compliance.
15. Ensure adherence to HR policies, including managing grievances and disciplinary processes.
Experience and Qualifications:
* Valid driver's license.
* Minimum of two years at a similar level or equivalent.
* Knowledge of current technical standards and business-critical services.
* Experience working in a Blue-Chip environment.
* Ability to formulate, assess, and validate risk assessments and method statements.
