Salary: £31,387 to £38,249 per annum, depending on skills and experience (minimum £35,116 with relevant PhD). Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Responsibilities
* Plan, conduct, and disseminate research on hyperbole comprehension using eye-tracking and EEG/fEMG to investigate aspects of figurative language processing during reading.
* Carry out data collection and analysis, including stimuli development and use of psychophysiological methods.
* Collaborate with project leads and disseminate findings through publications and conferences.
* Prepare and contribute to role-related documents and reports as required.
Qualifications
* PhD in Psychology or a related discipline (the PhD thesis must be submitted prior to starting the position).
* Experience with eye-tracking and/or psychophysiological methods (e.g., EEG/fEMG/EDA/heart rate) to study written language comprehension, including stimuli development, experimental setup, and data collection and analysis.
* Ability to analyze and interpret data using statistical software (e.g., linear mixed effects models in R).
* Experience disseminating research findings through journal publications and conferences.
