This firm of accountants in Wilmslow are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join the business.
It’s a role where you can use your skills, but in a supportive environment that people genuinely enjoy being part of.
They have a really settled team because people join and stay; and in this role you’ll be part of a small and friendly Bookkeeping department where you’ll be able to build some great relationships with the businesses you work with.
The role offers a good balance of routine and variety, allowing you to feel in control of your work while still keeping things interesting.
Typical duties will include:
* Monthly Bookkeeping for a number of different businesses
* Working on the purchase and sales ledger functions
* Completing Bank Reconciliations
* Completing the VAT
* Speaking to clients day to day to handle any queries
The firm is selective about the clients they work with, which means you’ll be dealing with businesses that value the service you provide and appreciate your support. As a result, client relationships are positive, respectful and long-lasting.
This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys bookkeeping but is looking for a better working environment. The partners are approachable and supportive — there’s no micromanagement or unnecessary pressure, and you’ll be trusted to work in a way that suits you.
There is plenty of flexibility. Typically, people work from home one day a week. Core hours are 10am–4pm, with flexibility to start as early as 8am or as late as 10am.
The firm also closes over Christmas without using up your holiday allowance, and the partners are understanding when it comes to commitments outside of work.
With free parking and excellent transport links, this is a very accessible location. Previous bookkeeping experience is required — ideally within practice, although industry backgrounds will also be considered.
