Job Overview
A Healthy Child Assistant is needed to support the 0‑19 Healthy Child Programme at Warsop PCC, working with Mansfield HFT to deliver universal health reviews and breastfeeding support.
Responsibilities
* Conduct development reviews with parents and children, often working lone.
* Deliver universal health reviews and breastfeeding support.
* Collaborate with partners to provide high‑quality services to children and young people.
* Escalate issues to the Specialist Public Health Practitioners on the Healthy Families Team as required.
* Maintain accurate records and use IT systems to support service delivery.
* Participate in safeguarding training and uphold safeguarding policies.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Proven experience working with children and families in a supportive or health‑related capacity.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to act on initiative and be flexible to meet service needs.
* Excellent time‑management and organisational skills.
* IT‑savvy with good computer skills.
* Capacity to work independently and within a team.
* Full UK driving licence and availability for travel within the service area.
* Willingness to undergo DBS checks and pay DBS costs where applicable.
* Awareness of safeguarding policies and procedures.
