Solicitor (Grade A/B/C) - Clinical Negligence

Are you an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor ready to progress within a forward-thinking and highly regarded legal practice? We're looking for a confident, commercially minded solicitor to join an established and supportive Clinical Negligence team based in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-quality clinical negligence matters, alongside accredited specialists, within a firm that genuinely values flexibility, wellbeing and professional development. You'll enjoy a high level of autonomy, managing your own caseload from start to finish while playing a key role in delivering outstanding outcomes for clients. You'll also contribute to the wider success of the team by providing technical guidance, mentoring junior colleagues and supporting strong financial and service performance.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting and guiding colleagues to deliver an exceptional client experience
* Proactive, commercial management and progression of cases
* Supporting the Team Leader in achieving financial and performance KPIs
* Accurate and timely time recording
Responsible for
* Managing a clinical negligence caseload in a proactive and commercially focused manner
* Discussing and agreeing case strategy with the Team Leader and team members
* Identifying cases ready for Letter of Claim, settlement or service
* Coordinating case progression with clients, medical experts, counsel and other stakeholders
* Drafting legal documentation including Letters of Claim and letters of instruction
* Negotiating settlement and issuing and serving proceedings where required
* Overseeing documentation and correspondence produced within the team
* Advising on technical and procedural issues as they arise
* Coaching, mentoring and supporting junior team members
Who We’re Looking For
* 8+ years PQE (or equivalent experience) in Clinical Negligence
* Recent experience managing your own clinical negligence caseload
* Strong technical knowledge with a commercial and strategic mindset
* Excellent organisational, time management and prioritisation skills
* Clear, confident communication and strong drafting ability
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office, case management systems and Excel
* Ability to mentor and support junior colleagues in a collaborative environment
* Client-focused, professional and proactive approach
