About the role
We are seeking a night shift PSV/HGV Electrician to join our team at Bradford. If you're interested in working with our energetic team of engineers and maintenance staff to repair our fleet, this could be the perfect role for you.
Requirements include a minimum of Level 3 NVQ qualification or equivalent (such as City & Guilds levels 1 & 2) with proven experience. Ex-military personnel with an apprenticeship in engineering transitioning into bus & coach maintenance are encouraged to apply.
Role responsibilities:
1. Diagnose vehicle faults and determine appropriate repair methods and parts.
2. Perform vehicle servicing.
3. Overhaul and repair of electrical systems, including engine management, gearboxes, electronic braking, suspension, electronic destinations, multiplex wiring, and ECU systems.
4. Use diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, temperature gauges, micrometers, vernier gauges, and ECU diagnostic tools.
We will provide PPE, including overalls.
Working hours and pay
Hours: 22:00 – 06:00, Monday to Friday, with early finish on Fridays.
Hourly rate: £18.77
Candidate requirements
* Minimum Level 3 NVQ or equivalent qualification.
* Relevant on-the-job experience.
* Familiarity with workshop equipment and electrical system repairs.
* Possession or ability to obtain a full PCV license and forklift license if required.
