As aBand 6 Therapeutic Radiographer, you'll play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality radiotherapy treatment using advanced techniques likeSABR, VMAT, DIBH,TBIandSRS. You'll work with an experienced team in a friendly environment where your development and well-being matter.

Our department is equipped with cutting-edge technology, includingVarian Halcyons, Varian TrueBeamsincl.6DoF, RGSCandSRScapability, Siemens CT GoSims,andHDRall networked byARIA.We are a multi-site centre with satellites in Swindon & Milton Keynes - 3 sites, 1 team!

Main duties of the job

Work as a senior member of the team of Radiographers covering all sections of the department including mould room, CT scanning, virtual simulation and contouring, delivery of a wide range of both simple & complex treatment and IGRT techniques.

Support the team leader in the day-to-day management of their assigned pre-treatment or treatment work area, assisting in the organisation and management of the clinical workload.

Liaising with the multidisciplinary team.

Assist with the day-to-day organisation of a treatment unit to ensure an efficient service is delivered and workload targets are achieved.

Supervise, support & teach junior members of staff and students.

This role attracts a 5%RRP (reviewed annually)


Person Specification

* BSc (Hon) in Radiotherapy.
* HCPC registered as Therapeutic Radiographer
* Core knowledge of a range of radiotherapy equipment and techniques
* A general understanding of computerised treatment planning systems.
* Post registration experience of working as a Therapeutic Radiographer with rotations through pre-treatment and treatment during that period
* Experience and knowledge of all IGRT modalities
* Evidence of post graduate study
* Previous NHS experience
* Previous senior experience
* Experience of advanced techniques e.g., SABR, SRS, DIBH, TBI, Adaptive RT
* Evaluation of CBCT images
* Experience of mentoring/training student radiographers
