About the role
With this varied and hands‑on position, you will work closely with the Head of Health & Safety to support compliance, audits, reporting and training across the business. You will play a key role in ensuring our systems, processes and documentation are robust, up to date, and effectively embedded across teams.
You will also act as a vital link between internal teams, suppliers and clients, helping to maintain high standards and ensure everything runs safely, smoothly and in line with ISO and CDM requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the maintenance and development of the Integrated Management System and associated ISO accreditations
* Assist with internal and external audits, including site inspections and supplier due diligence
* Carry out occasional ad hoc site visits (typically a couple per month) to support compliance monitoring and audits
* Monitor and maintain key documentation including CPPs and RAMS, ensuring general compliance
* Track and report health and safety KPIs, producing monthly dashboards and insights
* Support the investigation and closure of non‑conformances raised by clients or auditors
* Maintain and update the training matrix, ensuring all employees complete required training on time
* Coordinate health and safety input within procurement and supplier approval processes
* Contribute to health and safety presentations, workshops and internal communications
* Promote and support a positive health and safety culture across the organisation
Requirements
* Proven experience or strong understanding of Health and Safety within a similar environment
* Knowledge of CDM Regulations
* NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
* Experience of internal auditing
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently
* Confident communication skills, both written and verbal, including client and supplier interaction
* Strong decision‑making ability and a confident, proactive approach
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
