Engineering Manager – Pyro and Ferrous Product Engineering
Global leader in heavy industrial thermoprocessing solutions seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the Pyro and Ferrous Product Engineering function. This high‑impact, strategic leadership role guides a multidisciplinary engineering team focused on Process, CFD, and Combustion.
The Opportunity
* Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing engineering team across the UK and US.
* Drive product development, R&D initiatives, and technical excellence across pyroprocessing and combustion product lines.
* Oversee engineering delivery from concept to site involvement, ensuring quality, timelines, and commercial performance are met.
* Implement best‑in‑class engineering tools, processes, and project management methodologies.
* Collaborate closely with operations, proposals, services, and project teams to support new product development and complex engineered‑to‑order projects.
* Manage resources effectively in a hybrid, multidisciplinary environment.
* Travel internationally up to 15%.
What You’ll Lead
* 15 engineers across High Wycombe and the US.
* R&D, product development, combustion and CFD engineering, proposal support, and project execution.
* A team navigating complex matrix engineering challenges and global product responsibilities.
What You Bring
* Engineering degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
* At least 5 years leading engineering teams.
* Strong background in plant engineering, ideally with experience of thermo applications.
* Experience with SAP, Inventor/CAD tools, and engineering data management systems (EDM).
* A leadership style rooted in coaching, influence, and cultural improvement.
* Proven capability managing complex engineering portfolios and balancing technical and commercial priorities.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across global teams.
