We are looking for an AMBA Architect to help develop the next generation of Arm system architectures with a focus on memory systems, address translation, and virtualization‑aware interfaces. You will work with experienced architects and engineering teams across Arm to define and improve interface specifications, analyse system behaviour, and support key product roadmaps and ecosystem partners.
You will join the Architecture and Technology Group, a collaborative team building the foundation for future compute platforms from server and mobile to IoT and automotive. This role offers autonomy on well‑defined projects and opportunities to grow towards broader technical leadership in system architecture and virtualization technologies.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to AMBA interface design, focusing on DTI and LTI.
* Evaluate system behaviour across translation, performance, power and scalability.
* Collaborate with MMU, interconnect and SoC teams on end‑to‑end architecture.
* Evaluate trade‑offs in virtualization, isolation and resource sharing.
* Develop clear specifications, diagrams and architectural guidelines.
* Support integration of translation and memory systems across platforms.
Required Skills and Experience
* Experience with AMBA or similar protocols (e.g., CHI, AXI) with awareness of DTI/LTI.
* Computer architecture knowledge, including memory systems, translation and coherency.
* Familiarity with SMMU or I/O memory management concepts.
Strong communication of architectural trade‑offs and decisions.
Nice‑to‑Have Skills and Experience
* Experience working with PCIe or CXL and their interaction with memory/translation systems.
* Experience with virtualization across CPU, I/O and memory subsystems.
* Experience working in distributed teams.
Relocation package (including visa sponsorship support) is available for this role for candidates who require it.
