Job Responsibilities:
* Assist the Home Manager in the overall management of the residential childcare facility.
* Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance and maintain high standards of care.
* Mentor and support staff in their professional development and ensure effective team management.
* Manage key performance indicators to monitor the quality of care provided.
* Participate in budgeting and financial planning to ensure resource allocation aligns with the home’s goals.
* Implement safety principles to ensure a secure environment for children and staff.
* Engage with children to promote their well-being and emotional development.
* Collaborate with external stakeholders, including social services and education providers.
* Participate in creating and reviewing care plans tailored to individual children's needs.
Essential Qualifications:
* A commitment to providing exceptional care in a residential childcare setting.
* Strong understanding of mentoring principles and experience in team management.
* Knowledge of regulatory standards pertinent to residential childcare environments.
Desired Experience:
* Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role within residential childcare.
* Proven track record in managing budgets and key performance indicators.
