Autism Teaching Assistant – Barking & Dagenham
I am working with a warm, welcoming school in Barking and Dagenham looking for an Autism Teaching Assistant who brings patience, creativity, and genuine care into the classroom every single day.

* Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff
* Creating a calm, consistent, and engaging space where pupils can thrive
No two days will look the same, and that’s exactly what makes this role so special.
What we’re looking for
* Experience supporting autism or additional needs is ideal
* A calm, nurturing approach and a good sense of humour
* Someone who’s proactive, observant, and genuinely invested
* Confidence working as part of a team
* A willingness to learn, adapt, and grow
Bonus points if you’re familiar with sensory strategies, PECS, or Makaton, but don’t worry if not, support and training will be provided.
