We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive and vibrant educational team. The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to support the learning and communication needs of pupils with non-verbal ASD. Your responsibilities will include providing one-to-one support, assisting with alternative communication methods, and fostering an engaging, positive classroom atmosphere.
The Ideal Person and Skills/Education Needed
We seek someone with experience in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and a passion for supporting children with non-verbal ASD. Candidates should have a relevant degree or qualifications in teaching assistance, childcare, or Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Familiarity with alternative communication methods is highly desirable, but a willingness to learn is most important. Empathy, patience, and creativity are essential traits for success in this role.

Hours

If you take a temporary role with Sense Education, you will be paid weekly, with pay rates inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. Although this advert is for a temporary but long-term position, there may be an opportunity for the role to become permanent.
