The Role:
We're on the hunt for a reliable, hardworking, and passionate Sous Chef to join our fast-paced kitchen. This is a hands-on role in a busy environment — you'll be baking, grilling, line cooking, and getting stuck into plenty of prep. You'll support the Executive Chef in running the kitchen, maintaining high standards, and keeping the team motivated and on point.
Key Responsibilities:
Support day-to-day kitchen operations with a strong focus on quality and efficiency
Work the line across multiple stations including grill, prep, and baking
Assist in planning and executing our ever-changing monthly specials
Maintain high hygiene and safety standards at all times
Supervise and support junior kitchen staff
Bring energy, creativity, and consistency to every dish that leaves the pass
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in a similar role (Chef de Partie or Sous Chef level)
Strong cooking skills across various techniques (baking, grilling, line work)
A real passion for food and a desire to create standout dishes
Excellent communication and leadership skills
A cool head under pressure and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Flexibility, reliability, and a solid work ethic
