Children's Support Worker Aylmerton NR11 Pay is £15.01 - £18.27 per hour with weekly pay Our client attends school Monday to Friday so the shift times are based around this - 14:00-22:00 during the week, 10:00-22:00 at the weekend, plus 22:00 - 10:00 sleep on call nights Friday and Saturday. What our client is looking for We are looking to recruit a small team of support workers for full or part time hours in NR11 to support our client who is a sociable young lady who has cerebral palsy, associated intellectual disability, microcephaly and epilepsy. This young lady enjoys tactile play and spending time doing fun activities. We are looking for support workers to assist her to do the things she loves - baking, crafts, riding her bike, visiting the zoo, going out for meals, cinema, bowling and zumba. She enjoys the company of happy people with outgoing personalities. Our client requires assistance with all aspects of daily living as well as support with managing occasional behaviours due to her needs - sensory seeking, disorientation, anxiety. Due to our client requiring constant supervision she has two to one support. You will be required to undertake Safety Intervention Training. Support Workers must be happy to drive our clients vehicle for the school drop off/pick up and trips out. Do you need experience? Knowledge of supporting children with additional needs and behaviours which challenge is an advantage but full training is provided. Your role will include Support with all personal care tasks, and all daily living tasks including medication and food preparation. Maintaining the home. Driving to school and social events including trips to the dinosaur park, out for dinner and the theatre. Following the therapy plan around sensory needs.
