Operational Support Manager Required in Haywards Heath
1. Salary: £40,000 DOE – Pro Rata
2. Hours: 4 Days Per Week, Full-Time Permanent (Flexible Days, Monday–Friday)
We are currently working with a highly respected, expanding automotive dealership group based in Haywards Heath. Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and grounded Operational Support Manager with a strong background in the motor trade to support their growing business.
This is a rare opportunity for a well-rounded individual with hands-on dealership or parts trade experience to play a key role in the operational side of a successful site. Key Responsibilities for the Operational Support Manager Role:
3. Acting as a site lead and keyholder, responsible for overall site operations
4. Supporting with ongoing business improvements and facilities management
5. Managing health & safety requirements, coordinating with external providers
6. Overseeing routine site inspections (e.g., ramps, fire extinguishers, alarms)
7. Liaising with contractors (electricians, alarm companies, builders)
8. Handling insurance renewals and associated compliance matters
9. Collaborating with external HR and H&S providers (no final decisions required, but gathering information and keeping records updated)
10. Managing and coordinating site improvement projects – a good understanding of building works and facilities is key
Ideal Candidate Profile:
11. Previous experience in a main dealer, ideally in a senior parts, aftersales or management-level role
12. Strong automotive knowledge and a practical, solutions-focused mindset
13. Confident handling contractors, site issues, and operational logistics
14. Excellent communication and record-keeping skills
15. Comfortable working independently with support from the wider team
16. Preferably someone seeking a flexible 4-day working week, with one day remote as an option
