The Role
As a technical sales engineer, you will be supporting sales of the process automation range of products and the full product range into existing and new customers through responding to customer technical and applications enquiries, supporting the external sales team with the same, and engaging in pro:active identification of sales opportunities and projects in the UK. You will be involved with a wide variety of customer types such as End Users, Panel Builders, System Integrators, OEM's both directly and via a Partner Distribution Network, as you manage incoming enquiries from the established customer base and access information on potential customers for development. To assist your success in this you will receive comprehensive on going product training.
You will be full time office based, hybrid working is not available, you will be working closely with the rest of the sales team and sales managers along with other internal contacts in manufacturing. We are seeking candidates located within a commutable distance of the office premises, which are in a great location for public transport use.
The Candidate
For this technical support engineer position, prospective candidates MUST have the following attributes, skills and experience:
Be an excellent communicator, negotiator and presenter, passionate about building lasting client relationships.
Previous technical support experience or may a field sales engineer seeking to move internally possessing a technical qualification and knowledge of ATEX/IEcex standards.
Ideally have an engineering qualification in a relevant subject such as ONC, HNC level in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
