Locum Consultant - Paediatric Dentistry
Employer: NHS Ayrshire & Arran (part of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde).
Location: Glasgow Dental Hospital and School with substantial remit at the Royal Hospital for Children.
Type: Full‑time (10 PA) fixed‑term post for 6 months.
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:
* Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, and treatment in paediatric dentistry for medically compromised children and children with complex dental conditions.
* Advise and produce treatment plans for referring practitioners and public dental service staff.
* Deliver at least one session of undergraduate clinic teaching.
* Develop and expand the existing paediatric dentistry service.
* Teach and train postgraduate dentists to specialist and consultant level.
Qualifications and Experience:
* High level of knowledge and expertise in paediatric dentistry.
* Experience in clinical service provision, teaching, quality improvement, and research within a paediatric dental department.
