Can you explain Newton’s Laws with clarity — and charisma?
Do you want to inspire the next generation of physicists?
Are you a Physics graduate ready to test your skills beyond the lecture hall?
If you’re nodding yes, it’s time to apply your knowledge where it matters most — in the classroom.
The Role:
We’re recruiting a Physics Graduate Tutor to join an outstanding secondary school in Brentford, West London, starting this September. This is a rare opportunity for a sharp-minded science graduate to work closely with pupils who need extra support in physics — whether they’re struggling with key concepts or aiming for top grades at GCSE and A-Level.
You’ll deliver tailored interventions, assist in labs, support classroom learning, and mentor students one-to-one and in small groups. It’s real-world experience in a high-performance academic environment — and the perfect launchpad for teacher training.
The School:
This isn’t just any school — it’s an Ofsted-rated Outstanding secondary with a reputation for academic excellence and innovation. Here’s what sets it apart:
* Consistently high results in science and maths across all year groups
* A collaborative science faculty with excellent resources and experienced mentors
* Cutting-edge facilities — including fully equipped labs, a planetarium-style learning space, and interactive whiteboards in every classroom
* A strong emphasis on STEM enrichment: science clubs, Olympiads, and partnerships with universities and tech firms
The school is located in the heart of Brentford, easily accessible by train and bus, and offers a warm, inclusive culture with a forward-thinking approach to learning and staff development.
Who We're Looking For:
* A 2:1 or above in Physics (or related field) from a top-tier university (Russell Group preferred)
* A communicator — someone who can break down complex ideas and build student confidence
* Passion for education and an interest in pursuing teaching as a career
* Someone organised, reliable, and genuinely excited to share their subject
Why Apply?
* Get hands-on experience in the classroom
* Build your CV for PGCE, School Direct or Teach First applications
* Work alongside expert educators and mentors
* Make a real difference in students’ academic journeys
