You’ll take ownership of your workload and collaborate with colleagues and customers to ensure our fleet is always ready for action. Based at the Stoke garage your day-to-day will include:
Responsibilities
* Routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including HGVs.
* Diagnosing faults and road testing.
* Maintaining plant trailers and ancillary equipment.
* Coordinating with suppliers for repairs and servicing.
* Preparing vehicles for annual testing.
* Ordering parts and managing stock.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
* Strong mechanical skills and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
* A team player with great communication and customer‑service skills.
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
* Full UK driving licence is essential.
* LGV (Class C) licence is a bonus – training can be provided.
This role is subject to a satisfactory Barring Service, DBS check; depending on the role, different levels of screening and vetting may be required.
