Senior Electronics Engineer
In late January, we announced that Bridgefield Capital signed an agreement to acquire Philips’ Emergency Care business, which includes leading brands and products like HeartStart AEDs, Intrepid, DFM100 monitor defibrillators, Tempus monitor and Tempus ALS systems, and Corsium and ECI informatics solutions. We expect the transaction to close at the end of 2025.
With Bridgefield’s support and building on our 40+ year legacy of growth and innovation in emergency medical technology, the Emergency Care business will continue passionately pursuing our mission of saving lives, lowering healthcare costs, and advancing the science of resuscitation while serving the public access AED, EMS, military, and hospital markets.
In this role, as part of an agile company with dedicated resources to achieve strategic goals, you’ll have the opportunity to become part of the “NewCo” we are forming, grow both personally and professionally, and potentially make a significant impact on the acute care space, as well as on consumers, patients, and healthcare workers relying on these life-saving solutions.
Your role:
Supporting hardware development projects with electronics design within an ISO 13485 / FDA 21 CFR Part 820 quality system, focusing on developing new features or refining existing ones.
Supporting the team during external system testing, investigating, resolving issues, and reporting test results.
Following the V-Model for system development: writing design specifications, selecting components, creating schematics, evaluating designs, and conducting prototype testing.
Collaborating closely with suppliers to manufacture prototypes and pre-production units, progressing into full subcontractor production.

You’re right for this role if:
You have a career in Electrical Engineering, including sustaining and new product development.
You have experience in the Medical Device industry or a similar regulated environment (Pharmaceuticals, Aerospace, Aviation, Defence, etc.).
You are familiar with PCB design, manufacturing, testing, especially digital and analogue circuit design and electrical safety.
You hold a degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering.
