Job Description
A well-established and prestigious manufacturing organisation is looking to hire an Engineering Maintenance Manager on a permanent basis.
The primary focus of the role is to manage the maintenance function and engineering team to ensure that equipment, services, and factory buildings are maintained in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
There is significant opportunity to make impactful changes to engineering as well as the opportunity to build a new shift team.
Key responsibilities:
* Manage a team of 10 Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers across two shifts.
* Report to the Head of Operations with overall maintenance responsibility for production machinery, plant equipment, and facilities.
* Identify, implement, and manage projects, including the introduction of new equipment, new processes, and improving the performance of existing equipment.
* Drive the engineering culture from reactive to planned & preventative maintenance.
* Set and control engineering department budgets, spend, and priorities.
* Ensure projects are delivered on target with clear plans and strategies, utilizing resources efficiently.

Candidates must hold at least a Level 3 engineering qualification or higher (C&G or NVQ) and have experience managing a maintenance team within a manufacturing environment. Prior experience setting PPMs and driving engineering improvements is required. CMMS experience is also necessary.
