Head of Social Media
Are you social media savvy? Can you own and lead the entire social media function across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and other relevant platforms?
I am looking for a strategic, hands-on, and data-driven Head of Social Media to join a growing team at a pivotal moment of innovation and brand growth.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a unique opportunity to take full ownership of our organic and paid social strategy—driving reach, engagement, and brand growth through data-led decision-making and best-in-class content. We're seeking someone with proven experience in scaling brand presence through platform-native strategies, deep knowledge of social algorithms, and a strong understanding of how to combine content, community, paid media, and influencer partnerships to build an engaged and loyal audience. This is a hands-on role with strategic impact—you'll shape the voice of the brand and create a lasting presence.
This is a full-time, office-based position in Chester where you will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm. A competitive salary of up to £50,000 is offered for the right candidate.

* Plan, create, and publish platform-native content (short-form videos, Reels, Stories, carousels, etc.) focused on entertainment, engagement, and brand alignment.
* Lead community management—engaging with followers, managing DMs/comments, and building two-way relationships with our audience.
* Collaborate with internal designers and creatives to develop on-brand assets, using in-app editing tools or Canva/Illustrator for quick visuals.
* Ensure all content aligns with brand tone, values, and messaging.
1. Strategy, Growth & Performance
* Develop and implement scalable organic and paid social strategies to increase brand awareness, followers, reach, and engagement.
* Understand and leverage platform algorithms and trends to maximize visibility.
* Lead performance reporting—tracking KPIs like reach, engagement, growth, and conversions, and providing insights for future campaigns.
* Collaborate with paid social agencies to optimize campaigns and integrate creative strategies across channels.
* Maintain and evolve social media playbooks for content creation, scheduling, and reporting.
1. Influencer & Creator Strategy
* Build and lead influencer marketing efforts—from identification and outreach to partnerships and performance tracking.
* Develop long-term relationships with influencers and creators aligned with our brand voice and audience.
* Source UGC and creator-led content to amplify reach and trust.
* Monitor influencer performance to ensure effective collaborations.
1. Leadership & Team Development
* Manage and mentor the Social Media Executives, supporting their development and aligning their work with strategy.
* Work cross-functionally with marketing, creative, PR, and digital teams to ensure social media is integrated across all efforts.
* Advocate for social media within the organization, educating stakeholders on its value, trends, and opportunities.
The Person: Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior social media role, with a proven track record in growing brand channels, especially TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
* Experience building and scaling influencer and creator partnerships that enhance brand reach and authenticity.
* Expertise in social platform mechanics, content performance, and best practices, particularly on TikTok and Instagram.
* Strong understanding of paid social strategies and performance marketing; experience working with paid media agencies or managing budgets is a plus.
* Skilled in community engagement, content planning, storytelling, and crafting engaging copy.
* Ability to interpret analytics and use data to inform content strategies and ROI reporting.
* Experience managing social tools like Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Sendible, Meta Business Suite, and TikTok Ads Manager.
