ECC Project Manager role at Mott MacDonald. Location: London; Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds. Relocation supported: Not supported, but internal applications are welcome.

Responsibilities
* Active stakeholder management to clarify requirements and agree project objectives and priorities. Maintain stakeholder involvement in key decisions.
* Manage project risk and opportunities effectively — identify, allocate and manage risks and opportunities, and implement mitigation measures to reduce risk.
* Be accountable for the project’s commercial objectives — ensure necessary reporting and information are delivered on time and to the required standard.
* Maintain excellent communications with the client and wider programme team.
* Be responsible for the project programme. Work with multidisciplinary delivery teams to update the programme as required.
Qualifications
* Required: a degree in engineering or project management subject.
* Required: a relevant professional qualification with the APM or Prince 2.
* Full membership, or working towards full membership, of a relevant chartered body (MAPM, MCIWEM, MICE, MCIOB, MRICS, etc.).
* Project management experience across a range of disciplines, with contract/procurement experience.
* Experience of managing projects within the Water and Environment Sector.
* Experience of NEC contracts and their practical application.
Preferred (but not required)
* Excellent written and oral communication.
* Able to foster and promote collaborative working relationships.
* Experience of working client-side for regulatory bodies such as the Environment Agency, DEFRA or other RMAs would be an advantage.

The Advisory and Programme Delivery (APD) unit delivers management services across Built Environment sectors including Water, Transportation, Defence, Energy, Education, Health and Care. It supports projects up to £20bn across Programme Management, Project Management, Project Controls, Scheduling, Cost Management, Estimating, Infrastructure Finance, Management Consulting, Digital Consulting and Education, Health and Care Management. Our UK water and environment work covers pre-contract to post-contract activities, delivering capital projects from hundreds of thousands to over £0.5 billion. We also host a cost intelligence service for inflation and indexation and serve around half of the UK’s regulated water and wastewater companies.
