Job Purpose:
To maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen by supporting the chefs and kitchen staff through cleaning, basic food prep, and dishwashing duties. This role is crucial in keeping kitchen operations running smoothly.
Hours of work:
Monday to Friday 09:30am - 1:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
* Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashers and hand-washing methods.
* Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including floors, walls, and surfaces.
* Dispose of waste and keep bins clean and organized.
* Help with unloading deliveries and store food and equipment in the correct areas.
* Assist with basic food preparation (e.g., peeling vegetables, cutting fruit) if required.
* Ensure all cleaning duties comply with food hygiene and safety standards.
* Report any faulty equipment or maintenance issues.
* Follow all health and safety procedures.
Skills and Qualifications:
* No formal qualifications required; training provided on the job.
* Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Physical stamina; able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
* Team player with good communication skills.
