Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (Male Preferred)

About the Role:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, resilient, and passionate about helping young people reach their full potential.
A male Teaching Assistant is preferred for this role to support the specific needs of certain pupils, including personal care and positive role modelling.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN
Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to monitor progress
Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Support with personal care where required
Requirements:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
