Overview

Business Support Officer (Maternity cover) role at TieTalent. Marley is at the forefront of innovation in the UK Structural Warranty Insurance sector, providing claims management and loss adjusting services to insurer clients and customers. Established in 2013, with offices in Shrewsbury, London and Cheltenham, the company is growing to meet the needs of its expanding client base and new services.

Job Location: Cheltenham

Job Type: Maternity 12 month fixed term contract, Full time (Monday to Friday)


Responsibilities

* Reporting to the Department Manager, provide administrative support to Operations, Finance, Claims Handling, Recoveries and Complaints.
* Work with colleagues across departments to build knowledge and expertise in administrative support functions.
* Set up claims files.
* Handle and redirect inbound telephone calls.
* Distribute inbound post.
* Answer queries and provide information to colleagues within supported teams.
* Update the Claims Management Portal System.
* Collate and organise data.
* File paper and electronic documents.
* Compile invoice data and process payments.
* Process and record invoices; reconcile client accounts; handle payment queries or discrepancies.
* Assist with VAT returns, HMRC queries and audits; contribute to financial reporting.
* Update client information on the database.
* Produce payment packs for weekly payment runs.
* Perform general administrative tasks as required.
* Support continuous improvement activities such as complaints route cause analysis and audits.
* Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Participate in internal or external training as required (including CII qualifications). Training costs may be covered, subject to contractual terms on exit.
* Abide by relevant legal requirements, industry guidelines and company standards.
* Actively participate in team discussions to highlight issues and promote learning.
* Perform other tasks as reasonably required by Line Managers or Senior Management.


Skills and Experience

* Proven track record in an office administration role. Experience in insurance or financial services is desirable.
* Strong IT skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Experience with Claims Management Portal Systems is preferred but training will be provided.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Confident in using the telephone; excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
* Willing to ask questions and seek assistance when required.
* Well organised with excellent time management and ability to multitask to meet deadlines.
* Attention to detail and high accuracy.
* Team player; able to work independently under instruction.
* Understanding of processes within the organisation to support the wider team.
* Educated to A-Level or equivalent; GCSE English Language grade 5/C or equivalent.
