Our client is a Top 100 claimant firm with offices across the North West. They are currently recruiting for a Civil Liberties Solicitor with 0–5 years PQE. This is a retrain opportunity for strong civil litigators with 2+ years civil litigation experience.
Your new role
This Civil Liberties Solicitor role will see you:
1. Handle your own caseload of actions against the police and public bodies; including false imprisonment, unlawful arrest, human rights breaches, malicious prosecution, misfeasance and judicial review.
2. Prepare legal documentation including pleadings and witness statements.
3. Negotiate settlements.
4. Represent clients in court.
5. Keep up to date with changes in law.
6. Conduct legal research and provide legal advice to clients.
What you'll need to succeed
7. You must be a qualified solicitor with 0–5 years PQE.
8. Previous Civil Liberties experience is desirable.
9. This is a retrain opportunity for strong civil litigators with 2+ years of litigation experience.
10. Applicants must have 3+ years experience handling a caseload of Part 7 litigation work.
11. You must be able tomute to Liverpool up to 3 times per week.
12. Multi-track experience is preferable but not essential.
13. You must have excellent client care andmunication skills.
14. All applicants must have experience running claims to trial with Counsel.
