Sealing and Packing Supervisor
Location: Portadown Area
Hourly Rate: £14.35 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, rotating shifts
* 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
* 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Sealing and Packing Supervisor to oversee operations at a well-established Food Manufacturing company in the Portadown area. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled leader to manage a busy production line, ensuring the smooth operation of sealing and packing processes and delivering high-quality products on time.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and lead the sealing and packing teams, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and productivity are maintained.
* Oversee daily operations of sealing and packing lines, ensuring efficient packing processes and achievement of production targets.
* Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
* Train and support team members in proper packing procedures, machinery operation, and health and safety practices.
* Perform regular quality checks to ensure packed goods meet company specifications and standards.
* Organize and manage shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing during both morning and afternoon shifts.
* Collaborate with other departments, such as production, quality control, and logistics, to address and resolve any operational issues.
* Monitor production performance and report on any deviations from targets or quality issues.
* Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in the packing process.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding packaging and sealing.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment, particularly in sealing and packing.
* Strong leadership abilities with a track record of motivating and managing teams to meet production goals.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other teams.
* Solid understanding of health, safety, and quality standards within a manufacturing setting.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
Additional Information:
* Full-time, permanent position with rotating shifts (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM / 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM) from Monday to Friday.
