Your Role
This is an exciting opportunity to take the next step in your career and help shape the future of Stockport Council and its engagement with residents through neighbourhood initiatives and the built environment. The successful candidate will work within the existing estates team, providing surveying services for the Council’s estate, focusing on developing assets and delivering excellent outcomes for stakeholders.
This role includes developing strategies for the Council’s tenanted assets, executing asset plans, managing external consultants, including facilities management contracts, and handling landlord and tenant relations.
About You
You will be an ambitious property professional with Chartered Surveyor status, eager to advance your career. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, focused on problem-solving, and enthusiastic about driving our estate forward with a customer-centric approach.
You should be capable of managing complex priorities and working diligently to deliver optimal outcomes while managing resources effectively to benefit the residents of Stockport.

Our team manages the Council’s land and property assets and delivers major capital projects. We are diverse, comprising property professionals at all levels, committed to achieving outstanding results for the Borough and stakeholders.
We collaborate closely with the Place Directorate and other Council departments, supporting the Council’s priorities and the One Stockport Plan.
