We’re looking for caring, motivated Nursery Assistants to join warm, welcoming Early Years settings in Bristol! ✨
You’ll be supporting babies, toddlers, and preschool children in their learning, play, and daily routines, helping them flourish every day.
If you’re nurturing, enthusiastic, and passionate about giving young children the best start. If you have experience in nurseries, childcare, youth groups, sports coaching, or similar we’d love to chat!
✅ What You’ll Be Doing:
Supporting children through play-based learning, sensory activities, and early development tasks.
Helping create fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities that build confidence and curiosity.
Assisting with routines such as snack time, outdoor play, and transitions.
Providing one-to-one or small-group support where needed.
Building positive relationships with children, staff, and families.
Working as part of an experienced team to meet each child’s individual needs.
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings warmth, energy, and a genuine passion for supporting little learners. Our ideal Nursery Assistant is/has:
Naturally patient and supportive with babies, toddlers, and preschoolers.
Uses play, stories, and activities to spark early learning.
Works well with room leaders and nursery staff, following routines confidently.
Level 2 or 3 qualified in Early Years or similar childcare training (desirable).
Basic understanding of PECs or Makaton to support children with additional needs (desirable).
⛑️ Paediatric First Aid Certificate (desirable)
️DBS on the update service (or willingness to attain)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
