Recent Graduates who have a degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics and are registered with the HCPC will be considered.

Job Overview
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Prosthetist to join Ottobock's small, supportive team based at the Disablement Services Centre within James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough. As a Prosthetist, you will manage your own patient workload, rectifying casts and collaborating closely with our skilled technicians and clinical professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
The successful Prosthetist will have access to Ottobock's fully equipped onsite workshop and work within a multidisciplinary environment that encourages innovation, collaboration and service development.

Duties
* Providing Patient Assessments: Evaluate patient needs and develop individualised prosthetic solutions.
* Designing and Fitting Devices: Measure, design and fit prosthetic limbs ensuring optimal comfort and functionality.
* Managing Workload: Organise and prioritise your own clinical caseload effectively.
* Collaborating with Technicians: Work closely with Ottobock's technical team to ensure accurate and timely manufacturing of prosthetic devices.
* Maintaining Records: Keep accurate documentation and patient notes in line with Ottobock and HCPC standards.
* Supporting Service Development: Contribute ideas and feedback to improve service delivery and patient outcomes.
* Promoting Best Practice: Maintain high clinical standards and adhere to professional and regulatory requirements.
* Providing Ongoing Support: Offer follow-up care, adjustments and patient education to ensure long‑term success of prosthetic solutions.
What We're Looking For
* BSc (Hons) in Prosthetics and Orthotics or equivalent qualification.
* Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and/or a recognised professional body.
* Previous experience in providing prosthetic services, ideally within a multidisciplinary clinical environment.
* Proven ability to manage a varied caseload independently and effectively.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
* Full, valid UK driving licence.
* Membership of BAPO (desirable).
