We are offering a middle ranking to senior chef role taking a fair share of responsibility for kitchen management, food preparation and hands on service, who wish for rewarding and skilled work in our Organic pub/ restaurant, hotel, shop and farm and food growing business in Wiltshire. We offer a short menu of evolving seasonal fresh food, very light processed ,with a team of 6 full and part time people.
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our dishes while adhering to food safety standards.
Duties
* Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
* Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
* Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food is served.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
* Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential; restaurant experience is highly desirable.
* Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
* Ability to work well under pressure in a busy setting.
* Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
