Owen Mumford is looking to hire an ambitious Transport Planner! Could this be your next role?
The Transport Planner will be responsible for the planning and scheduling outbound transport as well as being the key point of contact for all 3PL transport providers, customs clearance instructions.
This position is for maternity cover and is offered full time on a fixed term contract based at our Chipping Norton site (12 Months).
Key Responsibilities:
* To plan, book and communicate all customer and outbound transport.
* To plan, book and communicate all supplier and inbound transport; including cross trade.
* To manage the UK Sales 3rd Party Logistics contract and resolve queries/issues relating to stock held on Owen Mumfords behalf.
* To manage the UK Ecommerce order fulfillment process.
* To monitor dispatches and proactively communicate ETAs
* To monitor and report on vehicle utilisation
* To construct and communicate transport KPIs
* To manage the outbound logistics, ensuring the correct Incoterms are in place; and ensure that agreed despatch times are in place.
* To support the management of the Owen Mumford deferment account and provide monthly accounting reports for all exports.
