Job Title: Initial Contact and Screening Officer Salary: £26,213 - £28,435 per annum 35 Hours per Week Location: Wildwood, Worcester Team: Initial Contact Team, Family Front door Permanent The Role: As part of the Social Care reforms, we are further developing our Children’s Family Front Door to not only support the great work we already do, but to also develop this further; helping families access the right help and support at the right time, reducing their anxiety about being referred to children’s social care and preventing them from escalating into crisis or needing more acute services later on. This goes to the heart of what we want to achieve for our Worcestershire families enabling them to stay together and thrive within their own communities accessing the right help and support at the right time. Our family front door will be accessible to communities and families to actively seek support themselves when in need and our Initial Contact and Screening officers (ISCO) will pay a central and important role to this as our first point of contact for families and professionals in seeking support and guidance. The role will include answering calls from the public, managing enquiries, requests for information, liaising with partner agencies and signposting to appropriate support / early intervention in the community and therefore knowledge of local services and an understanding of safeguarding is essential for this role. You will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining regular contact with key stakeholders; listening to and recording sensitive and confidential information ; therefore good written and verbal communication skills are essential. We are seeking two Initial Contact and screening officers to join our experienced and supportive team, who will be highly motivated and able to take on the responsibilities outlined.
