About Old Park School
Old Park is a community special school for children and young people aged 4-19 with a wide range of learning, sensory and health needs. Our pupils require support with communication and interaction, and may need support with co-regulation. All pupils attending Old Park have an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP).
The Role
The Governors and Senior Leaders of Old Park School are looking to recruit a suitably qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our highly successful school team.
The Successful Candidate Must Have The Following Qualifications
* An NVQ Level 3 equivalent or above in childcare/child development or education.
* Literacy A-C or equivalent qualification in functional skills.
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, term time only, 39 weeks per year
Salary: Grade 5 £20,899 - £22,678 including SEN point (Actual)
Location: Old Park School, Thorns Road, Brierley Hill, DY5 2JY

Safeguarding
Old Park School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This role will involve engaging in regulated activity relevant to children and adults and is subject to medical clearance, and an enhanced Child and Adult DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. In accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance we will complete online searches on candidates as part of due diligence checks before interview.
