We are seeking a Performing Arts graduate to work as a Cover Supervisor in a forward-thinking school in Wigan. This role is ideal for individuals considering a future in teaching, drama education, or youth work, and offers the chance to build practical experience in managing a classroom and supporting student learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver pre-set lessons to classes in the absence of the regular teacher
Manage student behaviour and ensure a focused learning environment
Encourage engagement and participation from all pupils
Adapt quickly to different subjects and year groups
Build positive relationships with students and staff across the school
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A degree in Performing Arts or a related subject
Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills
Confidence in managing groups of young people
A creative and adaptable approach to working in a school setting
Experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)
