Overview
I am a lady living on the outskirts of Peebles with terminal cancer. I am managing most of my personal care tasks myself for now but would like someone who could come and support me a few times a week with having a shower or helping me have a wash and wash my hair. I am ideally looking for someone for 2 hours each morning Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday with occasional need on a Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. I am happy to be flexible to find the right person.
Responsibilities
* Provide personal care support including assistance with showering, washing, and hair washing as needed.
* Support schedule: ~2 hours per morning on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday with occasional needs on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Hours and flexibility
In the near future, I will need more support, so someone who has the potential to increase their support hours, when needed, would be great.
Qualifications and qualities
* Kind, caring and friendly demeanor.
* Experience of dealing with a person with a terminal diagnosis is preferred and will be able to support me more towards the end, when I need it the most.
Compensation and benefits
* Hourly rate of £13.60.
* Mileage costs to and from my house, due to location, will be reimbursed.
* 5.6 weeks annual leave, calculated on a pro-rata basis.
