£80,000 Base + Package | Major Public Sector Project:
A Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Lead is required for a confidential, high value public sector development valued at approximately £40m.
The role sits within a structured Tier 1 contracting environment delivering secure government funded works.
You will take commercial responsibility for a major live NEC contract, working collaboratively with design, operational and commercial teams while reporting into senior leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Full commercial management of a £40m NEC4 contract
2. Cost control, reporting and forecasting
3. Pricing and managing change
4. Managing subcontractor procurement and accounts
5. Commercial input throughout design development
6. Ensuring programme and cost alignment with operational teams
7. Utilising internal management and reporting software systems
Requirements:
8. Strong NEC contract experience (essential)
9. Public sector background (education, healthcare, defence or similar)
10. Tier 1 contractor experience preferred
11. Experience managing high-value schemes
12. Confident with commercial management systems
13. Motivational and capable of leading commercial performance
Packages:
14. Salary from £80,000 (flexible for the right individual)
