Special needs teaching assistant We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team supporting a range of schools across South Gloucestershire & surrounding areas. This role involves working with children and young people with diverse special educational needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, social/emotional challenges, and learning difficulties. You will help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where every pupil can thrive. As placements may vary, you must be willing and able to travel between different schools as required.Key Responsibilities * Provide one-to-one or small-group support to pupils with SEN in both mainstream and specialist settings. * Assist in implementing personalised learning plans, behaviour strategies, and intervention programmes. * Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to adapt resources and activities to meet individual needs. * Support pupils with social, emotional, and communication development. * Maintain accurate records of progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and parents where appropriate. * Encourage independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours. * Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils at all times.
