Job Description
Duties for the Accounts Payable Assistant:
* Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
* Reconcile supplier statements.
* Prepare payment runs and maintain accurate payment records.
* Monitor accounts payable mailbox and respond to queries in a timely manner.
* Assist with month-end closing activities, including reporting and reconciliations.
* Support internal audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
* Maintain vendor records and ensure all data is up-to-date and accurate.
* Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and systems.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Payable Assistant should have:
* A background in accounting or finance.
* Experience with accounts payable processes and financial systems.
* A strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
* Proficiency in relevant accounting software and MS Excel.
* A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Lives a commutable distance to Amersham.
