Here at ISS, as one of the UK's leading Facilities Management (FM) providers, we are looking to recruit an Engineering Manager to lead M&E and Fabric maintenance, and oversee small projects at the customer's Luton site, a manufacturing facility.
The client operates in the defence sector, and this is a key site where production continuity is critical, requiring maintenance to support ongoing operations.
You will line manage 5 engineers working under a PPM regime, capable of reactive repairs, collaborating with specialist subcontractors and central resources.
This is a great opportunity for a confident Engineering Lead to join a high-profile contract in the built environment sector.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and maintaining the maintenance database (TriRega) for site services, plant, systems, and equipment
* Leading and planning the maintenance team’s daily workload, providing support as the first point of contact
* Leading and developing the maintenance and control of contractors, ensuring effective resource use and risk minimization
* Planning and costing minor works and reactive maintenance for the building fabric
* Ensuring all competencies and training meet site requirements
* Managing all subcontracted maintenance services and maintaining the supplier database
* Managing and controlling all M&E subcontractors on site, including inductions
* Maintaining continuity of essential site equipment and life safety systems
* Carrying out planned maintenance of site plant and equipment
* Diagnosing faults, recommending, planning, and executing cost-effective repairs and energy savings
* Ensuring all statutory compliance and site log books are up to date
* Liaising with clients to align work with production needs
* Observing and reporting plant faults to identify potential improvements
Candidate requirements:
* Engineering leadership experience
* Solid engineering qualification
